What is your Agni?

Your Agni is located in your gut and can be described as your digestion fire. A strong Agni leads to proper digestion of your food-intake, you are having good stools, balanced emotions – overall-wellbeing. It influence your metabolism too. (i.e. energy levels, your hormones)

In the beginning, a disturbed agni is usually a result of an accumulation of vata , pitta , or kapha in the digestive tract. This excess takes a toll on agni and hinders its proper functioning. Over time, a disturbed agni can also lead to the accumulation of ama .

side effects: Constipation, bloating, stomach/abdominal pain, constant gas, and heaviness after eating are already a few signs that your gut-health is out of balance.

Not only undigested food also undigested emotions, constant worry, high stress-level can lead to a in-proper digestion. The food-intake and how we observe and deal with life is mandatory for a good digestion fire.

My Tips in 2nd half of Winter: don´t overeat but don´t fast / under-eat: give your body time for the digestions process. Cook / steam your foods. Cook warm soups with nice herbs, don´t overdue also on the herbs. Try to first a few herbs like fresh, fennel and cumin seeds in a nice Dal.

Start getting lost in Ayurveda. ❤ talk soon my loves, happy survival of the winter month.. still a few month to go. brrrr, keep yourself and your agni warm.
