how living according to Ayurveda changed my life!

Hi lovely Community,
heres my new blog. Why do I live according to an Ayurveda diet?
Since I was 14 years old I never was really fond of eating meat. I remember my Dad served a nice Steak for lunch: I could not eat it anymore. Moreover I felt disgusted and told my parents I would be vegetarian from now on. This period went on for a while, just in special cases I eat meat. I remember I always enjoyed eating fish. This also changed nowadays.
Time passed by. Originally I was born in Bavaria, which is in the south of Germany. The traditional Bavarian food is beer (hehe) and heavy food like dumplings and a lot of “well cooked meat dishes” (delicious). In my 20s, I knew I´ve lived most of the time as a vegetarian. Though, when I went back to Bavaria to visit my parents I couldn’t resist when the popular “German Schnitzel” or a “Gulasch” would be served. Its called a “flexi vegetarian” I think. 🙂
In the beginning of my 30s, I was more and more interested in what kind of food my body tolerated. I was trying different variations of detoxing my body, I fasted regularly, I lived vegan, and I really got to know my “gut” and my “system” better. I have to add: I never suffered from any gut troubles. I just wanted to have a healthy life.
After my re-location back from Malta to Germany my lifestyle changed again due to life circumstances. I suffered from a crisis which lead to unhealthy life-style patterns again. I started to an Ayurvedic-fasting on my own for in total 5 days. It helped me to get rid of unhealthy patterns and changed- of course my eating patterns as well. Finally, I found what my “gut” tolerates, what serves my body the best in order to have healthy digestion (poop), healthy skin and body and mind-connection.
And to add, I found my how-I-feel-well-without-starving-diet-weight.
In simple words living according to Ayurveda means:
- that you access your food from nature – according to each 4 seasons and your own body constitution = Vata/Pitta/Kapha
For me it means:
- my body is healthy and in shape
- I have to meal-prep allot for work and daily life
- I don´t eat so much outside in restaurants anymore
- I have more money left over
Stay tuned for new updates out of my Yogic-Life.
Kisses, Isabella ❤
